Our Story

A farm dating to 1845...

A love of garlic and the Pepin bluff land on the West Coast of Wisconsin led us to pursuing a dream of returning a long dormant farm dating to 1845--to a productive life again! With lots of sweat and love, its a family endeavor.

The Beginning...

Our story began before the Pandemic when we started spending more and more time escaping to this incredibly beautiful and alive part of Wisconsin. Only 60 minutes from St Paul, it was the perfect escape to enjoy a walk on the beach picking shells, sailing on Lake Pepin, fishing the local trout streams and just having fun.

We eventually fell in love this farm and made it ours in 2021. Kate had always nurtured a childhood dream of farming, and this seemed the perfect place to make it come true.

Our Vision...

It's rare that a farmer get to start with best practices, rather than having to evolve from conventional and dated practices. In our case, the land has naturally returned to a wild meadow state, and so we're lucky to begin using what is widely considered best practice-- no pesticides, no herbicides, only organic soil amendments and nutrient supplementation, and heirloom varieties when available. All the good, none of the bad!

But most of all, we want to have fun, spend time outside, and feel the pride of growing something amazing!!!
